Deep Tissue Massage
A type of therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.
This type of therapy is especially beneficial for chronically tense and contracted muscles in the neck, low back and shoulders. The strokes used in deep tissue are the same used in classic relaxation massage, but the movements are slower, deeper, and more concentrated on the areas of tension and pain.
Deep tissue is recommended for individuals needing specific work on an area such as whiplash, sports injuries, falls, repetitive strain issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome, postural problems, osteoarthritis, fibromylagia, muscle tension or spasms.
